Amerique and Neville at Loew's (Outward Bound)

A Yonkers Herald Statesman clipping dated January 27, 1931 lists Neville and Amerique's act alongside the film "Outward Bound."
Place: Yonkers, New York
Person: Neville Goddard
Ruling: accepted as possible, Rudi 2026-07-23

A fuller companion clipping (node 4219) gives the complete stage bill: Amerique and Neville headed a five-act stage offering, 'Melody and Rhythm', alongside the Neal Sisters and Al Baker, with Fortunell and Cirillino ('Famous Italian Clowns'), Rube Demarest and Lucille Deland ('Songs of the Day'), George Lyons ('The Harp Virtuoso'), and Buck Warren and Chic Cooper ('The Dakotas'), running alongside the Warner Bros. film 'Outward Bound' (Douglas Fairbanks Jr., Leslie Howard, Helen Chandler). Neither this clipping nor node 4230 names the theatre's city or an exact date; the Yonkers/1931-01-27 attribution on this event is not independently confirmed by either witness.

Reasoning Outward Bound (Warner Bros., Fairbanks Jr., Howard, Chandler) had its national release 1930-11-29 (A028); scan 1102 is a 'starting tomorrow' promotional ad for the Loew's stage-and-screen booking, so the local playdate follows the release. (anchors: A028)

Reasoning Warner Bros.' film version of 'Outward Bound' (with Douglas Fairbanks Jr. and Helen Chandler) was released in 1930; the article is a promotional piece for the film's Loew's showing paired with Amerique and Neville's stage act, so the year follows the film's release year rather than a date printed in the clipping itself.
