Neville describes the mystical unfolding he calls the 'history of salvation' as coming in four acts: first the birth from above, then the discovery that one is spiritually the father of David who calls him Father, then the reversal of the body's generative energy into regenerative energy -- rising like a serpent from the base of the spine -- and finally the descent of the dove.
