During that time, Neville and Billy thought I’d enjoy meeting someone my age. They invited his niece to come stay. She was cute. We got cozy. A week later, Neville sat me down for a talk. ‘Now I know your parents are liberal about sexuality, but here in Barbados we do things differently. He and Billy were probably freaking out, scared the girl would get pregnant. She was gone the next morning.
