Neville exposes a fraudulent medium's phosphorus trick in 1926

In 1926, aged twenty-one and working in the theater, Neville was invited to a medium's home on Riverside Drive in New York, attended his darkened circles of about thirty people, and discovered the luminous lights were phosphorus the man had put on his rug; when challenged the medium admitted it, and Neville never went back — the same man is the one Bishop Pike now believes implicitly, and who three or four years ago in New York asked Neville to accept that he is now genuine.

Source Jesus Christ: Your Creative Powersole delivery claim on lecture nid=1763: 1968-11-11 exact/probable, state=supported, read verbatim from the source document's own dateline ('11/11/1968').
Reasoning Passage 543587 is Neville narrating the phosphorus-trick exposure of the medium (probably Arthur Ford) in his own voice, continuing the account begun in the neighbouring passage 543586 ('I met that man back in 1926...') -- this is the telling. The owning lecture nid=1763 is dated 1968-11-11 by its single, document-dateline delivery claim, so the telling inherits that date at the same exact/probable precision.
