One night in vision Neville saw a now-dead Welsh Socialist politician, a great opponent of Churchill, repeatedly put a huge branch on his head like a stag's antlers and try to leap from a cliff and float, falling flat on his face each time — showing that what must grow from within cannot be put on from the outside, as the man was trying to do with Socialism in England; Neville adds that he told this story once in San Francisco and the reaction was so strange he has not told it since.
