Neville's father imagined owning the Harrison building until the Goddards acquired it in 1942

Neville's father spent years looking across at the larger Harrison building and feeling he owned it; in 1942 the absentee English owners instructed their Barbados representative to offer it to a decent island family, and within about a week the Goddards owned it.
