Neville meets the Maine tape correspondent at a San Francisco lecture

Neville describes receiving a tape recording, brought to him by a friend, from a woman in Maine whom he had met eight years earlier at a lecture in San Francisco. On the tape she recounted how she and a friend -- traveling with the friend's two young daughters and a large poodle named Doris -- had been reduced to eight dollars when they stopped by Neville's home on El Camino in Beverly Hills. Having firmly believed his teaching that imagining creates reality, they set off that same night; in Palm Springs, though they were fine-art painters rather than house painters, they took a house-painting job, did it well, and used it to recoup their finances.

Source Our Real Beliefs Are What We Live Bydelivery claim on lecture nid 1108 ('Our Real Beliefs Are What We Live By'): catalog #158, corroborated by a full spelled-out chrome dateline 'May 21, 1963'
Reasoning Two independent sources (catalog and chrome dateline) agree exactly on 1963-05-21, preferred over the single-source 1964-03-06 catalog #202 claim; the chrome-harvest note itself suggests the lecture may simply have been given a second time on that later date, not that the two claims describe the same delivery.
