New Pictures and Vaudeville
Featured at Loew’s Theaters

‘TALKING screen version of
that memorable play, “The
Easiest Way,” is on view at

Loew's Metropolitan and Valencia
this week. Constanee Bennett and
Robert Montgomery are featured in
the leading roles. Miss Bennett
plays Laura Murdock, a working
girl trying to rise out of the squalid
poverty in which she was born Ac-
cepting a job as model in an adver=
tising agency, she attracts the at-
tention Of the head of the agency,
and subsequently becomes his favor-
ite, only to fall in love later with a
young newspaper man. Adoiphe
Menjou, Marjorie Rambeau and
Anita Page appear in supporting
roles.

Barto and Mann, “The Laugh
Kings,” formerly in the “Vanities,”
head the vaudeville bil at the Met-
ropolitan this week. Other acts in-
clude Amerique and Neville, inter
national dancers; the Neal’ Sisters
in “Melody and 'Rhythm,” Maxine
Lewis in a singing act, Seed and
London in “Hold ‘Im, Honey,’ and
the Picchiani ‘Troupe.

‘The new stage presentation at the
Valencia is “Novelettes,” with a cast
including Castleton, | Mack and
Owen; The Kemmys, with Eva Ivey;
Cecil’ Graham, ‘the Chester Hale
Girls and the Valencia, Syncopators.

Nancy Carroll and Phillips Holmes
are co-starred in “Stolen Heaven,”
‘at Loew's Bay Ridge, Gates and 46th
Street Theaters today until Tues-
day, This romantic drama traces
the ‘adventures of two young lovers
who unexpectedly come into a small
fortune and decide to take one last
mad fling at life,

Starting Wednesday these theaters
will show “Fighting Caravans,” a
thrilling and spectacular drama of
the early pioneers who blazed new
trails across the continent. Gary
Cooper, Lily Damita, Ernest Tor-
rence, Tully Marshall, Fred Kohler
and sugene Pallette have the lead-
ing roles in this production.

‘The Bay Ridge, Gates and 46th
Street Theaters ‘will present the
usual vaudeville programs in

Evelyn Laye in the film operetta
“One Heavenly Night” is the cur-
rent picture at Loew's Pitkin. The
English prima donna is supported in
this production by John Boles, Leon
Errol, Lilyan Tashman and Hugh
Cameron. From Wednesday _ to
Friday the Pitkin’s screen will offer
“Honor Among Lovers,” costarring
Claudette Colbert and Fredric
March. Charles Ruggles, Ginger
Rogers and Pat O’Brien also are in
the cast,
